The Department of Mathematics was established in 1951. The University of Kerala approved BSc in Mathematics in 1961. Since then, the department has been led by numerous distinguished faculty members. The faculty members of the department are actively involved in research as well. Graduates from this Department are prominently positioned in esteemed institutions and organizations domestically and internationally. BSc Mathematics graduates may pursue postgraduate studies in several disciplines. Some of these include MSc in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, MA in Economics and MCA. Throughout the years, numerous students have achieved the distinction of University Toppers.
