The Department of Geography was founded in 2014. The program commenced as an undergraduate course with a cohort of 12 students. The department presently provides a Bachelor of Science degree in Geography, with Geography as the core subject and Geology and Statistics as complementary subjects. Highly qualified faculty members of the Department, inspire and motivate students in both their academic and co-curricular endeavours. The Department possesses a well-equipped laboratory filled with Survey of India Toposheets, Weather maps, GPS, and other resources. Various surveying instruments are available, including chains, plain tables, Dumpy levels, Clinometers, and Prismatic compasses. The geology laboratory contains a diverse collection of rock and mineral specimens. The students receive training in the utilization of instruments and GIS software as an integral component of their curriculum. Since its founding, the students of the Department have consistently achieved University ranks and actively participate in arts and sports, thereby adding distinction to the college.
