The Department of Economics, Sree Narayana College for Women, Kollam, is organising the preliminary round of the 60th A. D. Shroff Memorial Elocution Competition for College Students 2026–27.

With the theme “Speak. Think. Inspire.”, the competition encourages students to develop their public-speaking skills, strengthen critical and independent thinking, and express their views on contemporary economic and social issues. The annual intercollegiate competition commemorates A. D. Shroff, the prominent Indian economist, industrialist, and advocate of economic freedom.
